Key West Snorkeling Tours | Activities In Florida

Distance From Miami To Key West

Even if you are not planning to visit one of the two cities, you should take the time out to witness the magnificent engineering marvel of the Overseas Highway. The ride is incredibly beautiful and there are many scenes to enjoy during the trip. The bridge is just as historical as it is beautiful. Originally, there was a railroad that connected the Keys instead of a highway. The Overseas Railroad was built in 1929 but was destroyed by a hurricane in 1935. Instead of rebuilding the railroad, it was decided to build a highway. Parts of the ancient railroad are still visible from the highway and the ruins are worth a visit. As the highway connects the Florida Keys together, you can easily take a detour and visit each of them in turn. They are worth the visit as each Key has something different to offer. Wildlife encounters, swimming with dolphins, diving, visits to coral reefs and many breathtaking sights are some of the experiences you find in these places. Wynwood Walls, Miami

Marathon is made up of a group of islands. There are primarily two things you will want to do here. The first is, of course, to take in the view of the Seven Mile Bridge. Secondly, you may want to pay a visit to the Dolphin Research Center to meet gentle creatures. You can even take a swim and interact with these mammals up close. As for the Seven Mile Bridge, it will be a sight that you will not want to miss. It is the world's largest segmental bridge after all. Instead of heading over the bridge to the Lower Keys, you may want to take a detour and visit Pigeon Key instead. It was home to the people who built the railway bridge over the Keys. There is a museum about their exploits here. .Big Pine Key

Cruise Miami To Key West

Most beaches in Miami tend to be a chaotic due to their immense popularity. Thankfully, there are still a few beaches which are isolated from such crowds. Sunny Isle Beach is one of them. Among the tranquil white sands of the beach, you can find a lovely pier. The waters are clear which add to the beauty of the place. You should visit this beach if you want to unwind and take in the sun. You will also have a great time snorkeling and diving among other activities due to the clarity of the water. There are some decent eateries as well that serve nearly all kinds of foods including seafood. Lummus Beach
